In a significant stride toward peace, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently in Washington, D.C., for discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump to advance the Gaza ceasefire. This ceasefire, initiated on January 19, 2025, seeks to end the prolonged hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
As part of this agreement, Hamas released several hostages, including Israeli-American Keith Siegel. In exchange, Israel freed numerous Palestinian prisoners, signaling a mutual effort to reduce tensions and address humanitarian concerns.
