It shows us that every profession was respected and vital. We see the Gurukul System depicted in textbooks, showing us that education was not about grades or competition. It was about character building, nature, and the sacred bond between Guru and Shishya.
This shift away from a Mughal centric history is not just a policy change. It is an act of reclaiming our identity. When we read about Gotra and the role of Women in society, like the scholars Gargi and Maitreyi, we realize that our past was progressive, inclusive, and spiritually grounded. The inclusion of Sanskrit verses like Yatra Naryastu Pujyante proves that we are teaching our children about a culture that valued respect, wisdom, and balance long before the modern era.
This is the history that should have been taught all along. It is an honest, raw, and authentic look at who we are. By prioritizing Indian Heritage, Sanatan Dharma, and our Cultural Roots, we are giving the next generation a sense of pride. We are moving from studying invaders to understanding our own ancestors. And that, in itself, is a victory for every single one of us.
